Prattville Police and Fire Citizens Academy
Academy Overview:
Prattville citizens often wish they knew more about the public safety system. To bridge the gap the Police and Fire Departments have joined together and created "The Prattville Police and Fire Citizens' Academy". This is a 10-week program that will be held at The Prattville Police Firing Range and Fire Department Training Facility.
Hours and Requirements:
- You must be 21 years of age and live or work in Autauga County.
- You must clear a review of your Criminal and Driver's History
- Classes meet on Thursday's from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- Total Time is 20 hours over 10 weeks (You are asked to commit to attend at least 8 of the 10 sessions)
Course Content:
Each Police and Fire Citizens' Academy session covers a variety of subjects ranging from basic law enforcement and Firefighting techniques and their role in the community to discussions and demonstrations.

The Citizens Academy is postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
