Community Programs

Smoke Detectors
Smoke detectors are critical to alert you and your family of a fire in your residence! Our department can install these life saving devices in your home. Call 595-0300 for more information.
Fire Safety Education and Tours
PFD can offer fire safety education programs to schools, community groups, and individuals. Please contact 334-595-0300 to schedule your event today.
Home Safety Inspections
PFD can offer free home safety inspections to members of the community. These inspections can identify potential fire hazards and provide recommendations for improving fire safety in the home. Call 334-595-0300 for more information.
Emergency Weather Preparedness
The Prattville Fire Department provides Safer Places options for severe weather. The Public Safety building is open for those seeking a safer place during severe weather. This is not a FEMA rated shelter. Prattville Safety Building 201 Gin Shop Hill Road Prattville, AL 36067
CPR Training
PFD can offer CPR training to community members. These skills can be lifesaving in an emergency situation. For those interested in CPR training or First Aid classes please call 334-595-0300.
Blood Pressure Check
Free blood pressure checks are offered at all Prattville Fire stations whenever firefighters are present.
Emergency Preparedness Education
PFD can offer emergency preparedness education to help people prepare for disasters and emergencies. This education can cover topics such as creating an emergency kit, developing an emergency plan, and staying informed during an emergency.
Fire Extinguisher Training
PFD can offer fire extinguisher training to community members to teach them how to properly use a fire extinguisher in case of a fire emergency.
Safe Haven Baby Box
Fire Station #4, located at 820 North Old Ridge Road, is now home to second Safe Haven Baby Box in the State of Alabama. Learn more
